CEC Trophy Case

Inspiration

The Christian Educational Consortium views sports as a way of preparing our minds and bodies for service to Christ.  A passage we point to is in Hebrews 12:1-2: “Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and Perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Our Athletic Program

At the Christian Education Consortium, we are committed to a goal of developing hard-working, Christian young men and women. Academics are our number one priority but we firmly believe that successes on the playing field carry to the classroom and vice versa. More importantly, both are necessary as we strive to prepare students to become successful, contributing citizens in a highly competitive society.

Our expanding sports program now includes Soccer, Basketball, Baseball,  Volleyball, Cross Country and Track with more sports being added in the future. Our goal is to give every student the opportunity to play a competitive sport if they so desire.

In order to maintain focus on our primary goal of academics, we hold all our athletes to very high standards. Students wishing to participate in sports must be enrolled in a minimum of three classes. They must also maintain at least a 70 average in each class, each week. This policy requires our students to focus on their studies each and every day in order to be eligible to compete. We feel this policy is unique and has been instrumental in developing the true student athlete.

All CEC students in grades 6-12 who take at least three classes at CEC and maintain a “C” average or better in each class are eligible to participate. However, please check with specific Coaches for age requirements for each sports team. There is a separate athletic participation fee required for each student who makes one of the athletic teams. For specific questions, please EMAIL US.

Athletic Banquets

At the end of each athletic season, we hold recognition banquets for team participants and their families. These banquets provide everyone with an opportunity to thank the players and coaches for their hard work and accomplishments throughout the year.
